ABOUT ME

I feel as if I'm the luckiest owner of a business there is because I do not believe you'll ever find a better staff than the fantastic one I have.
Some of my walkers have been with me for as much as 12 years, and most of them have been with me for over 7 years.

I could not have kept this service working the way it does without them. They are responsible, honest, well educated in dog care and just really nice people.

We can provide recommendations to you and I am sure you'll be so happy you've let us take care of the most important member of your family.

                                                 MORE ABOUT ME

My name is Jeffrey Weissman and I own Happy Paws.

Growing up I lived in Connecticut and had a dog for 17 years.

I started walking dogs professionally in 2001.
I started Happy Paws in 2002. This is the Certificate that Happy Paws is a company registered
with The City of New York.

Right now I have 5 walkers working for me. Some have been with me for over to 10
years now.

I do not believe in pack walks. Yes these dog companies will tell you dogs are pack animals but
to me, that does not mean you walk them in packs of 10+. What pack means is "family". Which
means they enjoy being in a family. The "pack" is when they wake up in the middle of night, look
around and see you. Thats the pack!

Was a member of the NAPPS (National Association of Professional Pet Sitters) and have been
certified to a level two at the NAPPS.

Outside the world of dog walking:

Jeff Weissman is a playwright and composer whose work explores the intersection of
music, myth, and psychology. He holds a BA in Music and Piano Performance, studied at
Juilliard, and completed the four-year program at Playwrights Horizons Theater School
under David Bucknam. His original musical Ophelia was produced in the Village in New
York City.

I've composed several other musicals and recently expanded into
screenwriting:

An animated fable The Ant, the Grasshopper & the
Spider’s Pearl.

Paris 1832 (a historical drama about Franz Liszt).

Less Than One Day (a sci-fi thriller), and

Beyond Olympus, which began as a screenplay and has now been adapted for the
stage.(I did my first stage reading here in New York on March 30,2026!
